Clark prides itself on its professional sales force. Our sales executives are distinctly different than our competitors' due to the following professional attributes:

Entrepreneurial Spirit: It has been said many times that working as a Clark sales executive is as close as you can get to running your own business without actually starting your own company. Indeed, Clark sales executives run their business portfolios without being hampered by undue reporting requirements or busy work. At the same time, Clark sales executives must possess the entrepreneurial spirit to blaze new trails without being told to do so. Our sales executives are not given a box to work within. Rather, they are required to operate "outside the box" at all times.

Self Starters: Clark's sales executives are self starters to the N-th degree. Unlike our competitors, we do not "hound" our sales executives to innovate. They must possess that instinct within themselves.

Creativity: Clark sales executives are forced to out-think our competitors. Instead of being trained to act as robots presenting a particular model of doing business, Clark sales executives must differentiate themselves as consultants. There is no "box" that we wish our customers to operate within. Rather, we customize our operations to suit their needs.

Niche Marketers: Clark operates as a niche distributor in the marketplace. We have incredible strength in market niches such as lodging, vending, catering, c-store delis, and others. Clark sales executives must operate as niche marketers in these or other segments to avoid head-to-head confrontation with larger distributors on their terms. We will compete with those distributors, but on our own terms!

Innovative Marketers: Clark sales executives must be innovative marketers, adding value with their customers each and every day. Whether it be HMR (Home Meal Replacement) packaging, customized recycling programs, specialized expertise on disposables, or a customized program for a particular account, our sales executives must innovate and add value.

The above traits are required in order for an individual to succeed as a sales professional at Clark. Possessing these attributes, an individual has an unfettered opportunity to prosper. Entrepreneurship is the key to success at Clark.
